Occupational Therapist

Job No: 129684
Location: Brisbane

  • Are you passionate about empowering kids to live their full potential?
  • Attractive salary negotiable up to $110,000 plus super, flexible hours, relocation assistance & the opportunity to pursue any specialties that interest you!
  • Build on your clinical skills as part of a welcoming & truly supportive team of Occupational Therapy professionals!

About the Organisation

Established in 2005, Kids Matters is a well-respected, locally-owned occupational therapy practice that’s grown to cover three locations across Brisbane. With a down-to-earth and passionate team, and a great mix of both new and longstanding team members, they understand and celebrate the things that make each person different, banding together to transform lives in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Kids Matters is committed to more than just a constant stream of patients, or churning out as many appointments as possible; they know some time to breathe and the chance to grow (both personally and professionally!) is essential if they want their staff to be able to be the best versions of themselves.

Committed to creating "smile situations" each day, they've cultivated a genuinely honest and caring workplace culture, and their clients enjoy the benefits of working with a team in an authentic, family-style environment.

About the Opportunity

Kids Matters is steadily growing, and on the lookout for an Occupational Therapist to join their team in Yeerongpilly QLD. This role is available on a flexible full-time or part-time basis, depending on your needs.

Supporting and mentoring the junior therapists, you'll be providing leadership to the Yeerongpilly team and managing your own set of clients, with the freedom to develop your caseload according to any specialities or interests you're passionate about.

Whilst your clinical work will come first, you'll also have the opportunity to get involved with seminars, webinars and other projects, including rural outreach activities, telehealth and more over the coming years.

Is this You?

If you’re passionate about building people up, and see mistakes & challenges as an opportunity to learn and grow, this could be the role for you!

Kids Matters needs someone who’s just as passionate about their clients as their current team, who’s keen to be a part of a bigger purpose and who naturally embraces their culture code values of collaboration, connection, quiet mastery, playfulness and excellence as an individual and as a team.

If you’re looking for a role that lets you breeze through an endless, impersonal stream of patients every day, this isn’t the role for you.

Paediatric experience is crucial, as you’ll be shaping the professional development of the junior OTs in your team and contributing to the leadership of the whole clinic as a member of the senior team. You won’t need a management background, provided that you’re genuinely keen to develop your leadership skills, and confident supporting your team as you grow together.

Finally, you’ll obviously need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist, including current AHPRA registration.

About the Benefits

If you’re keen to play a larger part in the growth of a supportive, genuinely friendly business – more than just showing up to work every day, this is your chance!

On offer is a highly attractive salary negotiable up to $110,000 subject to your level of experience, plus super.

You'll have access to fantastic opportunities for training and ongoing career growth, with 3 days paid study leave per year and an annual professional development allowance. If you'd be coming from outside the Brisbane area, relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidate.

A proudly family-friendly workplace, you will have the option to decide which days or hours you want to work each week, with flexible hours available, so long as they work for the clients.

You'll also have full admin support and access to fantastic resources, including a sensory gym, and ongoing opportunities to grow your skills through hands-on training, events, outreach activities and more.

This is your chance to help empower clients whilst working on your own terms, with an innovative and passionate organisation - Apply Now!
